Attorney Christopher Drosen
Attorney Christopher M. Drosen is the newest partner at Schmidlkofer, Toth, Loeb & Drosen LLC. Chris was born and raised in Southeastern Wisconsin. He attended Marquette University where he majored in Business Administration. He also attended Marquette University where he received his law degree in 1998.
Prior to joining Schmidlkofer, Toth, Loeb and Drosen, LLC., Chris was a lawyer with Drosen, Wandt and Rustad where Chris had the privilege to practice with his father, Alfred A. Drosen, Jr. for over 16 years.
Chris’s practice includes representing individuals in all aspects of family law including divorce, traditional, collaborative and cooperative, maintenance, property division, custody and visitation. His estate planning practice includes the drafting of Powers of Attorney, Wills, Trusts and Probate administration. Chris also offers unbundled legal services from assisting with the drafting of legal documents to case analysis.
Chris is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association, the Milwaukee Bar Association, the Waukesha Bar Association and the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin.
When Chris is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
Attorney Basil Loeb
Attorney Basil M. Loeb is a partner at Schmidlkofer, Toth, Loeb & Drosen LLC. Basil was born in London, England. He was raised in Toronto, Ontario where he resided until 1995. Basil attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario where he majored in history and physical education and was a journalist for the school newspaper. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, Basil moved to Milwaukee to attend law school at Marquette University.
During law school, Basil was a member of both the Marquette Law Review and the Sports Law Review. Basil published a number of articles in both journals. Basil received third place for “Abuse of Power: Disregarding Legal Principles to Invalidate Tort Reform” in 2000 in the International Defense Counsel Writing Contest. Basil also received Dean’s List honors while at Marquette Law School and was given an award for receiving the highest course grade in Sports Law. Basil received the Joseph Tierney, Jr. award for proficiency in sports law and was named Who’s Who of American Law Students in 2001.
Following law school, Basil worked as an associate at a New Berlin law firm where he specialized in criminal, traffic and municipal law. He was successful in obtaining a reduction in prison sentence from 40 years to 20 years. Basil, along with Schmidlkofer, Toth, Loeb & Drosen, LLC partner Mark R. Toth, was responsible for opening a new location for that firm.
In 2005, Basil, Attorney Scott A. Schmidlkofer and Attorney Mark R. Toth started Schmidlkofer, Toth & Loeb, LLC.
Today, Basil focuses on criminal, appellate, traffic, business and real estate matters. Basil’s expertise includes criminal defense, appeals and municipal trials. Among many other local companies, Basil currently represents Time Warner Cable, and NorthStar Loans. Basil is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association, the Milwaukee Bar Association and the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Basil resides in Wauwatosa with his wife. He enjoys exercising and golfing in his spare time.
Attorney Mark Toth
Attorney Mark R. Toth is a partner at Schmidlkofer, Toth, Loeb & Drosen LLC. Mark was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After living in Florida during his early years, Mark’s family returned to the Brookfield area where he graduated from high school. Mark attended Marquette University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
During his collegiate years, Mark was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He served as President, Philanthropy Chairman and Vice President of Finance. Mark, along with the Milwaukee Bucks and the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Southeastern Wisconsin, directed one of Marquette University student body’s largest fundraisers to date. Following graduation, Mark worked as a Senior Account Executive at Midwest Payment Systems in Chicago, Illinois negotiating new data processing contracts with some of the nation’s largest banks. After a few years in the corporate realm and a remaining desire to pursue a legal career, Mark returned to Marquette University in 1998 as a law student (J.D. 2001).
During law school, Mark worked as a clerk at a general practice firm and gained experience in the areas of estate planning, probate, family law and personal injury. In 2000, Mark was awarded the Glojek Academic Scholarship. Mark’s academic excellence extended to being named on the Dean’s List and receiving an award for the highest course grade.
Following his graduation from Marquette University Law School in 2001, Mark became an associate at the general practice law firm where he had clerked while he was a law student. In 2002, Mark authored an appellate brief on a municipal violation that was subsequently published by the Court of Appeals.
In 2003, Mark began working at a New Berlin law firm. Mark practice focuses on estate planning, probate, family law and personal injury. Mark, along with Attorney Basil Loeb, was responsible for opening a new location for that firm.
In 2005, Mark, Attorney Basil M. Loeb and Attorney Scott A. Schmidlkofer started Schmidlkofer, Toth & Loeb, LLC.
Mark’s practice includes estate planning, probate, family law and personal injury. Mark is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Aside from work, Mark enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and three children.
Attorney Scott Schmidlkofer
Attorney Scott A. Schmidlkofer is a partner at Schmidlkofer, Toth, Loeb & Drosen LLC. Attorney Schmidlkofer focuses his practice exclusively on family law, including divorce, custody and placement disputes, post-judgment issues, termination of parental rights cases, and child support matters. Attorney Schmidlkofer’s extensive courtroom experience has made him a skilled litigator who fights for, and obtains, successful results for his clients.
A lifelong Wisconsin resident, after high school Attorney Schmidlkofer enlisted in the United States Navy, serving active duty during Operation Desert Storm. Attorney Schmidlkofer’s decorations during his time in active duty include receiving the Southwest Asia Service Medal with a bronze star, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for his role in rescuing victims of the Mount Pinatubo disaster, the Sailor of the Year Award in 1991, and a personal citation for outstanding performance during the Gulf War.
In 2005, Scott, Attorney Mark Toth and Attorney Basil Loeb started Schmidlkofer, Toth & Loeb, LLC.
Attorney Schmidlkofer is a graduate of Marquette University Law School. Prior to founding Schmidlkofer, Toth & Loeb, he was an associate at a private practice firm in New Berlin, Wisconsin. As an associate, Attorney Schmidlkofer practiced labor, employment, family, and election law.
Attorney Schmidlkofer is an avid sports fan, who enjoys most sports, and especially Wisconsin sports teams. In his spare time, he also enjoys golfing.
